July 26, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Event Navigation
Hildegard von Bingen was born to a noble family in Germany in 1098 and at a young age was given to the church. This 12th century female figure captured the world in which she lived with her profound ideas regarding our humanity and our relationship with the Divine.
Retreat facilitator, Robin Garner, EdD, and expert on Hildegard, enjoys performing Hildegard’s unique compositions and sharing her extensive research about Hildegard’s life and impact on the world of the time. We will explore how Hildegard’s life, music and writings are not merely something of the past, but a significant force for creativity and devotion in the 21st century.
Join in the conversation of her fascinating music, her deep and influential spirituality and how the two are inextricably linked.
The retreat experience Saturday will include walking a labyrinth. Lunch is included. *Register for Saturday before July 5 for a $45.00 suggested donation. After that the suggested donation is $55.00.
Registration ends July 19. Scholarships are available. For more info and to register contact Judy at 208-290-3119 or registration@fpcsandpoint.org
