We welcome you
with open hearts and minds
Our Mission
We are a loving community seeking to grow in faith and wisdom through God’s Word, so we can joyfully proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world.
About Us
In 1901, a handful of Presbyterians began meeting at The Odd Fellows Hall in Sandpoint and in 1903, the Presbytery of Spokane formally acknowledged First Presbyterian Church of Sandpoint.
Our Stained Glass Windows
The windows include symbols of faith such as:
- An empty cross to remember Christ is risen from the dead
- A Crown to symbolize Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, victorious over sin and death
- The winding vines of wild roses as Christ is sometimes called “The Rose of Sharon” from the song of Solomon story.
- A dove which throughout scripture is a symbol of the Holy Spirit
- An anchor remembering hope in Christ
- Wheat symbolizing the Lord’s Supper and that Christ Jesus is the bread of life
We are an "Earth Care" Congregation
